Washed Kaolin Clay

Product Name: Kaolin

Composition:
- SiO₂: Approximately 46.5%
- Al₂O₃: Approximately 39.5%
- H₂O: Approximately 14%

Color: Generally lacks luster; pure kaolin is white and fine, but impurities can introduce gray, yellow, or brown hues.

Description

Kaolin is a non-metallic mineral, primarily composed of clay minerals from the kaolinite group. It is known for its white and fine texture, often referred to as "white clay." Pure kaolin is white, delicate, and soft, exhibiting excellent plasticity and fire resistance, among other physical and chemical properties.

Density: 2.54-2.60 g/cm³
Melting Point: Approximately 1785°C

Classification: Based on texture, plasticity, and sand content, kaolin is divided into three types:
1. Hard Kaolin: Hard texture, non-plastic, but gains plasticity after fine grinding.
2. Soft Kaolin: Soft texture, strong plasticity, sand content <50%.
3. Sandy Kaolin: Loose and soft texture, weak plasticity, sand content >50%.
